Wisdom Wednesday
To say that you’ve been in a funk this week might just be the understatement of the year. It seems to me that you are considering all the work you’ve put forth so far toward your goals and you’re not yielding the desired outcome yet as well as not feeling as if your efforts are not appreciated. You’re feeling stunted and questioning if you’re doing things for the correct reasons at all.
Perhaps you should consider who you were when you began. You’ve changed since then. You’ve grown up a bit. You’ve been working on this for quite some time and maybe you’ve changed not just outwardly in appearance, but fundamentally on a spiritual and emotional level. The reason you’re in a funk is because you’re seeking reassurance from an old version of yourself. Also, there may be a part of you that seeks reassurance from others who don’t understand or respect your vision.
The goal that you have is still there but perhaps you should consider that you’re not being kept from reaching it, but how you go about it should change. Just because something doesn’t go according to your plan, doesn’t mean it’s a failure.
Success sometimes depends on your ability to collaborate and cooperate with others. The old version of yourself felt like they needed to figure everything out on their own. The old you had people around them that would judge every move they made. Maybe the old you was only doing it so they could be proud of you.
This week consider how you might work with others to help you reach your goals. Are you just doing what you’re doing for the gold star? Give yourself the gold star. Trust your vision and let people in on your plan. They may not understand your objective because you’re not allowing yourself to be vulnerable to share your strategy with them. You’re not blocked, you’re not stunted, you’re not unable. The universe is always seeking ways to understand itself and you are a fragment of that universe. Maybe your vision is meant to collaborate with another’s path for their own development on their path. Maybe you’re hitting bumps on your path because it’s meant to converge with another’s.
Also, this may apply to some of you, not all, but maybe the people you think will judge you actually won’t. Consider that they may have grown up a little too.
Remind yourself that just because there isn’t a blossom, doesn’t mean there isn’t growth. You have planted the seeds for your future and sometimes it takes a while to cultivate, you’re just not in season yet. You don’t have to wait for final results to be proud of your efforts. Consider where you started and see how far you’ve come. Give yourself some grace. You’re doing great.
